My thoughts on Marie Antoinette
Marie Antoinette is a very historical film directed by Sofia Coppola. Marie Antoinette is played Kirsten Dunst. This film was made in 2006. The film showcases Marie Antoinette's rise as she become the queen of France and the tragic end of reign leaving the Versailles. The movie does a good job at following chronologically the order of events that happen at a historical context. However this film doesn't feel like it was made for the discovery channel and it much more feels like it is able to express itself. The movie was fine. The movie felt like you could watch it, but sometimes drift off in your own thoughts which I didn't like as I like to feel immersed into the film. It might just be that I don't really do well with a historical type of film since I haven't ever lived that life, but I don't really know. Their were a lot of times where I had to fill in the pieces in my head to make sure I was following along correctly, which is fine but not always ideal where the movie felt like it relied on your ability to do so. While the movie was a bore to me it wasn't to others. However the film covered some very expressive moments especially when it came, especially when Marie was in the bath tub, looking somewhat goth like which is a hint to time this film was made during early 2000s.
